For Your Horse: Why Cashel Rebranded

For Your Horse: Why Cashel Rebranded

A horse doesn’t care what saddle goes on his back. He only cares what time you show up in the morning to throw hay over the fence.

Barrel racers, ranchers, ropers, 4-H families, dressage riders, weekend pleasure riders, and folks with a couple of heart horses in the pasture all reach for the same fly mask when fly season hits. They all share one thing: a love of horses.

That’s who Cashel is for. Every horse owner, no matter how you ride or whether you ride at all. If you’re the one at the fence with the hay, we’re your brand.

So when our new website launched on November 4, we gave Cashel a whole new look. New logo. New colors. New photography.

Not a new Cashel, just a clearer picture of the one you already know.

We’ve been making products for horses and horse owners since 1993. The fly protection, saddle pads and barn gear you trust haven’t gone anywhere. What’s new is how we present them, and here’s why.

Where We Started

Cashel’s roots are in English riding. That’s where the company came from, and for a long time, that’s who our brand spoke to.

But the horse owners buying our gear were never just one kind of rider.

Horses play a different role in every barn. For some, they’re work. For others, they’re an escape. They’re competition partners, kids’ first best friends, and the reason you’re up before the sun. For many of us, they’re family and part of who we are.

No matter the discipline, it all comes back to one fact we all know and live by: life is better with horses.

Why Now

Cashel earned its name the practical way. We saw problems in the barn and created products to fix them. Over 30 years, that turned into hundreds of products across fly protection, saddle pads, grooming, tack, and barn gear.

We wanted a brand that feels as dependable as the products inside the package. Something that looks right at home in any barn, whatever discipline lives there.

What We Stand For

Before we changed a single color or letter, we took a hard look at why Cashel exists. Here’s what we landed on.

Our mission: Make life with horses better. That’s it. We do it by making thoughtful products that make horse ownership a little easier, a little more enjoyable, and a lot more rewarding.

Our vision: Be the most trusted companion for every life lived with horses. We want to be the brand you count on from your very first ride to your fiftieth year in the barn, and every chapter in between.

Our values are the five things that guide every product we make and every decision we make:

  • Care. Everything starts with the horse. Their comfort, safety, and well-being come first.
  • Show up. Horse people show up every day, in the heat, the cold, and the mud. So do we. We earn your trust by making gear that works when you need it most.
  • Solve what matters. Every product should fix a real problem. Good design isn’t about adding more. It’s about making your day with horses a little easier.
  • Celebrate the journey. The best moments with horses aren’t always the big ones. They’re the quiet mornings, muddy boots, family traditions, and everyday rides that make this life worth living.
  • Belonging. Whether it’s your first pony or your fiftieth horse, English or Western, show pen or back pasture, you’re part of a Cashel community that shares one thing: a love of horses.

These aren’t new ideas for us. They’re what Cashel has always been about. The rebrand just gave us the chance to say them louder.

What’s New

A new logo. The updated Cashel logo sits comfortably alongside two of our sister brands, Classic Rope and Classic Equine. We chose a typeface that belongs with the family but still has its own character, one that feels like Cashel. Look closely at the C, and you’ll see a nod to the horseshoe in its shape. We picked our new colors straight from the barn.

Real horses, real people. Our new photography shows horse life the way it actually looks. Early mornings at the barn. Kids with their first pony. A family checking fences. Fitting a fly mask before turnout. Just the everyday moments that make this life so special.

Three words to live by. Heritage. Craft. Purpose. They’re the values that built Cashel, and now they’re part of how we talk about ourselves.

Built for the Ones Who Care

Horse people come in all kinds. When we looked closely at who reaches for Cashel, four groups kept showing up.

The Everyday Horseman: Horses aren’t something they do. They’re part of how they live. Mornings start at the barn, care comes before convenience, and the work is simply part of the life they’ve chosen. They want dependable, practical products that do their job, make care easier and keep their horse comfortable.

Western Families: Horses have a way of becoming part of the family story. The first pony. Weekends at the barn. 4-H, rodeo, horse shows, making trails out of the unknown and lessons passed from one generation to the next. These families value products they can trust around the horses and people who matter most.

Western & Ranching Lifestyle: Some live it every day. Others simply want to be closer to it. They’re drawn to the independence, freedom, horses, open country and sense of belonging that define the West. For them, Western isn’t a trend or an aesthetic. It’s a way of looking at life.

Competitive Riders: They know the run starts long before they enter the arena. Preparation happens at home, in the barn, on the road and every day in between. They want dependable products that keep their horses comfortable, prepared and ready to perform without unnecessary complication.

They all put the horse first. They all value products they can trust. They all seek belonging within the horse community. They all believe life is better with horses.

By combining practical products with an authentic Western point of view, Cashel can grow from a trusted name in horse care into a trusted name for the life that surrounds the horse.

Easier to Shop

A rebrand isn’t just a new logo. We also wanted to make it easier to find the right product for your horse.

That starts with our new website, built to help you find what you need, compare your options and get the right fit the first time.

Our fly masks are a good example of where we’re headed. As our new packaging makes its way to stores, every package will follow the same order, top to bottom:

  1. Cashel, so you know who made it
  2. The line name, like Crusader, Econo or Quiet Ride, with a short line on what sets it apart
  3. The product and fit, like Fly Mask with Nose
  4. The size and measurement, right on the front

Each package will also have a QR code that takes you to fit help and the full line, plus a features list and measuring chart on the back. We’ve also color-coded our fly protection by size and style, so you can spot the right fit and the right line at a glance. That way, whether you’re shopping at your favorite dealer or standing right there in the aisle, it’s easy to compare your options and grab the right one.

For People Who Care for Horses

Horses mean different things to different people. A first pony. A barrel horse. A jumper. A ranch partner. A Saturday trail buddy. But everyone we make gear for has one thing in common: the horse comes first.

That’s who this rebrand is for. Every rider, every discipline, every barn, for all the places horses call home.

Not a new Cashel, just a clearer picture of the one you already know.
